Tendios, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own data from crawling to customer delivery, including AI data features and retrieval layers. You will implement data models, pipelines, and governance across Python, SQL and TypeScript/NestJS, feeding Vera and MCP server with high-quality data.

You’ll work with the AI & Data squads and backend teams to ensure scalable, observable, and secure data platforms, including Elasticsearch, ClickHouse and Qdrant-based search and RAG features.

Formación

• 6+ years in software engineering with at least 3 years in data-intensive systems.
• Strong Python and SQL with PostgreSQL experience at scale.
• Comfortable with TypeScript/NestJS across the stack.
• Experience building production data pipelines (RabbitMQ, Kafka or similar).
• Experience with search/analytical stores like Elasticsearch/OpenSearch or ClickHouse.
• Solid understanding of LLMs: RAG, embeddings, vector search, evaluation of retrieval quality.
• Product mindset with ability to propose data features to stakeholders.
• Fluent Spanish and English.

Responsabilidades

• Propose and build data-driven features from tender data, e.g., market intelligence and improved tender matching.
• Own the data side of AI features; design the retrieval layer with Docvert, embeddings, Qdrant, Elasticsearch and RAG.
• Use LLMs in the pipeline: extraction, classification, entity resolution, summarisation and evaluation.
• Collaborate with the AI team to provide clean, well-documented data and tooling.
• Define and measure data/retrieval quality as a product metric.
