Ebury is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Madrid office, working 4 days in the office and 1 day from home. This role focuses on developing and maintaining Ebury's data platform, ensuring it remains robust and innovative.

As part of our data team, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs, oversee platform design, and drive advancements in data capabilities through emerging technologies.

Proficiency in Python, SQL, and familiarity with GCP tools are required. A competitive salary and benefits package awaits the right candidate.

Formación

• Proficiency in Python for data transformation and validation.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing large datasets.
• Data engineering and modeling skills like slowly changing dimensions.
• Hands-on experience with data warehousing and cloud platforms.
• Experience with GCP tools such as BigQuery and Cloud Functions.
• Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.

Ebury's strategic growth plan would not be possible without our Data team and we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team! Our mission is to develop, maintain and improve Ebury's Data Platform with a focus on building scalable, robust, and innovative frameworks. As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will work closely with the rest of the team to help develop and improve the Data Platform.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of a robust data platform to be consumed across the company
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights
• Drive innovation and explore emerging technologies to enhance our data capabilities
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality and security

About you:

• Proficiency in Python for data transformation and validation
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing large datasets, as well as experience working with structured and unstructured data sources
• Data engineering and modelling skills such as slowly changing dimensions and dimensional modelling
• Graph database modelling encouraged
• Hands‑on experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud platforms, including designing and implementing data solutions at scale
• Self‑motivation and curiosity, with a desire to learn and grow in a fast‑paced environment, continuously improving both technical and business skills
• Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) tools and services, such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions
• Fluency in English (Spanish, a plus)
