Ebury Madrid is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join our Data Platform team. You will help design, develop, and maintain a scalable data platform that serves the entire company.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights while advocating data governance and best practices. The role emphasizes cloud-based data solutions and open-source collaboration, with a hybrid work arrangement in Madrid.

Ebury's strategic growth plan would not be possible without our Data team and we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team!

Our mission is to develop maintain and improve Ebury's Data Platform with a focus on building scalable, robust, and innovative frameworks.

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will work closely with the rest of the team to help develop and improve the Data Platform.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of a robust data platform to beconsumed across the company
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver actionableinsights
• Drive innovation and explore emerging technologies to enhance our data capabilities
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure data qualityand security

About you:

• Proficiency in Python for data transformation and validation
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing large datasets, as well as experienceworking with structured and unstructured data sources
• Data engineering and modelling skills such as slowly changing dimensions anddimensional modelling
• Hands-on experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud platforms, includingdesigning and implementing data solutions at scale
• Self-motivation and curiosity, with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-pacedenvironment, continuously improving both technical and business skills
• Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) tools and services, such as BigQuery,Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions
• Fluency in English (Spanish, a plus)
