Job summary

Construo AG is seeking a data engineer specializing in AI-driven development to design and maintain data pipelines using AI agents to generate code. You will develop algorithms, analyze data, and validate AI outputs while owning data modeling and quality across cloud infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have strong dbt/SQL experience on Databricks, Python (PySpark a plus), and familiarity with CI/CD for data. English proficiency (B2/C1) is required for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in a quantitative field or related discipline.
• Strong hands-on with dbt and SQL on Databricks in data pipelines.
• Interest in AI-driven/agentic development and validating AI-generated code.
• Experience with Python and software design patterns; unit testing.
• Familiar with CI/CD for data, testing and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain data pipelines using AI agents to produce code.
• Develop algorithms to transform data into useful information.
• Analyse data to identify issues and define logic for complex functions.
• Validate AI-generated solutions ensuring simplicity, performance and maintainability.
• Own data modeling and data quality as the data product expert.
