An innovative tech startup based in the US is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a remote role. The engineer will focus on data engineering projects, such as building data pipelines and ensuring data quality. Candidates should have advanced English proficiency and experience with data sync and orchestration tools. The position offers flexible hours, ideally requiring a commitment of at least 20 hours per week.

Formación

• Advanced English proficiency (C1) for collaboration in fully English speaking teams.
• Daily use of Cursor or Claude Code or similar tools.
• Experience in building data sync between transactional databases and data warehouses.

Responsabilidades

• Work on data engineering projects, including building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Design data models and review LLM prompts and outputs.
• Ensure data quality and collaborate with business team members.

Company Description

We are a US based startup using LLM and data to completely change how corporate event planners find and book venues. We have a launched product and large paying customers despite being in business for less than 1 year. Our 3 founders has over a decade of experience at Meta, Google, Doordash and various other startups. You will be joining a very small engineering team of only 2 people.

Role Description

This is a remote role for a Senior Data Engineer. You will be responsible for working on data engineering projects, including building and maintaining data pipelines, designing data models, reviewing LLM prompts and outputs, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with business team members to continuously improve data quality. The amount of time commitment can also be flexible based on your availability but we will ideally require at least 20 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced English Proficiency (C1), experience working on fully English speaking teams.
• Daily use of Cursor or Claude Code or a similar tool in the last 3 months.
• Experience in building data sync between transactional database and data warehouses.
• Experience with DBT, and orchestration systems (Airflow, Dagster, etc)
• Devops skills including deploying GCP / AWS containers is a plus.
