MultiSafepay BV is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain our data infrastructure in Spain. You will ensure high‑quality, scalable data for multiple teams and dashboards, shaping data pipelines and ETL processes.

The role emphasizes data integrity, security, and performance, with collaboration across data analysts. The team focuses on innovative, compliant data practices in a fast‑growing fintech environment.

Formación

• Proven experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of ElasticSearch and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and communication in English.

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining MultiSafepay’s data infrastructure. Your primary focus will be ensuring that high‑quality, scalable, and well‑structured data is available to various teams within the organization. You will play a crucial role in optimizing data processes, managing databases, and setting up efficient data pipelines for seamless data accessibility.

What will you be doing?

• Maintaining, and optimising databases, data warehouses, and ElasticSearch indexes
• Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and storing data
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards
• Automating data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
• Working closely with data analysts, ensuring they have well‑structured and accurate data for reporting
• Monitoring database performance, resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies

What do you need?

• Proven experience in data engineering or related fields
• Strong knowledge of ElasticSearch and PostgreSQL
• Postgres DBA (including logical and binary replication)
• Managing Elasticsearch clusters
• Kibana dashboards
• Data backup and recovery
• Data mining
• Knowledge in backend development in Java or Perl 5 TRoubleshooting, optimization, integration, automation
  and Apache POI for handling structured data (optional but beneficial)
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline architecture
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to optimise data performance
• Proficiency in English, with strong communication skills
