Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Data Centre Design Manager to join the Data Centre Design Engineering team. The role leads designs for AWS data centers across the EMEA geography and collaborates with engineers, architects and designers to deliver secure, efficient, and cost-effective facilities.

You will work with a diverse team to drive capacity projects, manage design budgets, and partner with internal stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with regional codes and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in data center design, construction, operations.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering for mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.

Responsibilities

• Communicate conceptual designs and create/maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction.
• Create and track metrics related to cost, quality and duration of design; gather data from construction and commissioning teams; contribute to budgets.
• Schedule engineering resources and influence design changes based on internal customer needs.
• Define project scope, schedule and deliverables; create, review and release design RFPs; manage external design consultants through design and construction.
• Identify innovative cost-saving solutions during construction; arrange site assessments and design reviews; anticipate travel up to 25%.
• Engage and manage permitting and design consultants; conduct after-action reviews for process improvement.
