Bertrandt Group Spain is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to bridge engineering data with business strategy in the powertrain sector. You will analyze large datasets and deliver executive-ready insights, translating complex data into strategic recommendations for client positioning.

Role includes presenting results in Excel and PowerPoint, acting as primary client contact, and monitoring industry trends. Requires 5+ years, mechanical background, fluent English, and willingness to travel as needed.

Formación

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical background.
• Experience with engines and/or transmissions.
• Experience in market research and data analysis or product strategy.
• Strong analytical ability to translate data into strategic advice.
• Advanced presentation skills (PowerPoint) and Excel proficiency.
• High English proficiency; knowledge of French/Italian/Spanish/Chinese a plus.
• Senior profile with 5+ years of experience.
• Willing to travel to HQ in Madrid every 6-8 weeks (not mandatory).

Responsabilidades

• Maintain daily newsfeed updates on industry trends

Your role:

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to support one of our clients by bridging the gap between complex mechanical engineering and high-level business strategy. This role goes beyond database management — it acts as the link between engine and transmission data and the strategic decisions that drive our client’s market positioning in the powertrain industry.

These will be your main responsibilities:

• Analyze large datasets and collect only the necessary key information
• Summarize key information in excel format and translate this into clear executive-level PowerPoint presentations
• Act as the primary point of contact for client requests and final presentations
• Conduct in-depth market and competitor research and analysis to define the positioning of our client’s products against other market leaders.
• Perform competitor analyses and compare positioning against our client’s products.
• Maintain daily newsfeed updates on industry trends

What do we expect from you?

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant technical backgrounds
• Direct experience or good technical knowledge of Engines and/or Transmissions
• Mandatory experience in Market research and Data analysis or product strategy
• Good analytical skills and capability to translate data into strategic advice
• Advanced presentation skills (PPT and oral)
• Advanced Excel skills
• High proficiency in English. French/Italian/Spanish/Chinese as a plus
• Senior profile with at least 5 years of work experience
• Being able to work in a challenging and fast paced environment
• Available to travel every 6-8 weeks to the HQ in Madrid (not mandatory)
