Job summary

Ontologize, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Spain-based Data Office. You will design and deliver high-impact data and AI solutions powering smarter, scalable analytics across enabling functions such as HR, procurement, and legal.

You will work in a distributed, international team using modern practices, contributing to AI use cases from automation to procurement intelligence, while ensuring governance and security across the data lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Several years of software engineering experience in enterprise environments; design, build and deliver scalable data applications.
• Proficiency in Python and Spark with modern engineering practices including version control, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, and PySpark and end-to-end data pipeline delivery.
• Understanding of data governance, privacy, security controls, and compliance in large-scale contexts.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AI workflows, MLOps, and CI/CD for AI components is a plus.
• University degree in a relevant technical/engineering discipline.
• Comfortable working in a distributed, international team with travel in Europe.
• Strong English communication; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable applications, data pipelines, and platform components translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop robust interfaces replacing manual processes with intuitive user experiences.
• Own data platforms ensuring governance, security, and cost efficiency across the data lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and shape technical directions of solutions.
• Shape the future of data engineering within Enabling Functions using Snowflake, AWS, Palantir Foundry.
• Contribute to the Spain-based hub and work on high-visibility AI use cases across automation and analytics.
