Job summary

Fortrea is seeking a Senior Clinical Research Associate II (Sr CRA II) in Madrid to lead site monitoring activities for diverse clinical studies. You will ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, manage monitoring plans, and liaise with investigators and vendors.

The role requires 5+ years of clinical monitoring experience, strong data integrity focus, and the ability to mentor junior staff while coordinating Local Project Coordinator activities. Travel to sites is expected.

Qualifications

• University degree or allied health certification; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 6 years clinical monitoring experience; 2 years in Oncology, Ophthalmology, and/or Gene Therapy.
• Fluent in local language and in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site monitoring and close-out of clinical sites.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety.
• Prepare monitoring plans and trip reports.
• Coordinate investigator meetings and site communications.
• Audit readiness and data integrity review.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate Local Project Coordinator activities.
