Job summary

Syneos Health, Inc. in Madrid is seeking a Sr CRA I/II for sponsor-dedicated monitoring across the drug development continuum. The role covers site qualification through close-out visits, conducted on-site or remotely, with a focus on regulatory compliance and patient safety.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in clinical monitoring, deep GCP/ICH knowledge, and strong communication skills. Travel up to 75% is required, with opportunities to advance in a global CRO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or RN in a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry monitoring as a Clinical Research professional.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice/ICH Guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Must demonstrate good computer skills and be able to embrace new technologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; basic critical thinking expected.
• Ability to travel up to 75% on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Performs site qualification, initiation, monitoring, site management and close-out visits (onsite or remote) with regulatory and GCP/GPP compliance.
• Verifies informed consent process and protects subject confidentiality; assesses safety and data integrity risks.
• Conducts source data review and CRF data verification; drives query resolution to timelines.
• May perform IP inventory, reconciliation, and handling; ensure proper labeling and import/export per protocol.
• Reviews Investigator Site File against TMF; archiving as required by guidelines.
• Supports recruitment, retention and tracking of observations; ensures timelines and project objectives are met.
• Liaises with site personnel; may train/junior staff; prepares for Investigator Meetings and sponsor meetings.
