Job summary

Openchip & Software Technologies S.L. in Barcelona seeks an experienced Compiler Engineer to extend LLVM/GCC frameworks for Openchip’s RISC-V HPC and AI accelerators. You will implement features that improve code generation and ML model handling on our hardware.

Collaborate with ML/AI and hardware teams, review code, triage issues, and contribute to CI and documentation. Hybrid work in Barcelona with a focus on delivering high-quality compiler tooling for next-gen acceleration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5–10 years experience in the field.
• Experience with compiler frameworks (LLVM, MLIR, GCC).
• Experience with computation and parallelism APIs (CUDA, OpenCL, SYCL).
• Solid knowledge of C++ and C.

Responsibilities

• Make independent technical contributions to extend compiler frameworks and enable hardware features.
• Write code to extend GCC/LLVM, improving code generation for Openchip’s targets.
• Collaborate with ML/AI and hardware teams to map workloads to hardware features.
• Review code, triage bugs, and contribute to design documents.
