A dynamic CRO is seeking a Senior Clinical Research Associate with oncology experience to join their team in Spain. This remote position requires monitoring Phase I–III clinical trials, managing multiple sites primarily in Barcelona and Madrid, and involves up to 70% travel. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in life sciences and at least 5 years of on-site monitoring experience. Strong proficiency in both English and Spanish is essential.

Job Title: Senior Clinical Research Associate (Oncology)

Company: Small CRO

Location: Barcelona, Remote; Full-Time, Permanent

A small, dynamic CRO is seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Research Associate to join their expanding team in Spain. This is a home‑based position with national travel, with the majority of the sites being located in Barcelona or Madrid.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor Phase I–III oncology clinical trials.
  • Conduct site visits (approx. 6–7 days / month) ensuring compliance with ICH‑GCP and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage 1–3 studies concurrently, overseeing approximately 4–7 sites, with the majority located in Barcelona and Madrid.
  • Apply RECIST criteria confidently in oncology assessments.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of on‑site monitoring as a CRA, with a strong track record in oncology (Phase I–III).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (BSc, BA, or RN equivalent) in a life sciences or related field.
  • In‑depth knowledge of ICH‑GCP and regulatory guidelines.
  • Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English (both written and spoken).
  • Location: Must be based within 1 hour of a major airport or railway station. Preference for candidates located in or near Barcelona and Madrid due to site distribution.
  • Travel: Up to 70% travel across Spain; valid driver’s license and passport preferred.
