Job summary

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Java Developer to help build and evolve shared backend platforms at King. Our technology provides services and capabilities that internal teams rely on to develop games, tools and services. Building platforms used across multiple teams brings interesting engineering challenges: handling high traffic, designing flexible APIs and evolving systems while keeping them reliable. You’ll work on Java backend services that solve common problems, making it easier for teams to build, integrate and deliver new capabilities.

Your role within our Kingdom

As a senior backend developer, you’ll help design, build and operate shared backend platforms and services. You’ll work across established systems and new capabilities, balancing the needs of individual teams with solutions that are reusable and maintainable over time. You’ll take ownership from the first technical discussion through implementation, rollout and production support. Along the way, you’ll work closely with fellow engineers, product partners and the teams integrating our services. Your experience will help shape technical decisions, simplify complex problems and improve how we build and operate our platforms. You will, among other things…
