Sumsub is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build backend services for the Travel Rule product. You will design and implement secure data exchange between crypto service providers, integrate with multiple partners, and operate in asynchronous, distributed architectures to ensure reliability.

You will own backend components from design to production, collaborate with product teams, and adapt to evolving regulatory and network requirements. Remote-first with global opportunities.

Formación

• Strong backend engineering experience with a solid foundation in systems design.
• Experience building and maintaining integrations with external systems and third-party APIs.
• Comfortable with asynchronous processing and distributed systems.
• Good understanding of databases and data consistency trade-offs.
• Curious and motivated to solve complex, product-driven problems.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop backend services for the Travel Rule product enabling secure data exchange between crypto service providers.
• Build and maintain integrations with multiple third-party providers and various protocols and APIs.
• Work with asynchronous, event-driven architectures to handle slow or unreliable external systems.
• Ensure high reliability, fault tolerance, and observability of distributed services.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to evolve the platform and meet regulatory requirements.
• Take ownership of backend components from design through production and maintenance.
