Dow Jones is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and operate reliable, scalable backend services and platform components powering product experiences and internal tools.

You will work with cross-functional partners to deliver high-impact solutions, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architecture decisions, with a focus on observability and reliability in AWS, Linux, and microservices environments.

Formación

• 4–6+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend or platform environments.
• Strong hands-on experience building production-grade backend systems and APIs with Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
• Deep experience with AWS, Linux, CI/CD pipelines, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and own reliable, scalable backend services, APIs, and platform components from planning through release.
• Partner with engineering, product, and QA to translate requirements into technical solutions while improving monitoring, alerting, observability, and operational readiness.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture decisions and engineering standards.
