Bark is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer in Spain to join our small, highly agile team. You will own backend services, design scalable APIs, and contribute to our shift from a lead-gen model to a full marketplace.

You’ll work across Python back end, APIs, data stores, and cloud tooling, collaborating with product managers and engineers to prototype fast, learn, and ship robust features.

Formación

• 5+ years of Python production experience.
• Proficient in API design and event handlers.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience deploying with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to mentor engineers and drive code quality.

Responsabilidades

• Work with development teams to conceptualise and implement software solutions.
• Build elegant and performant APIs and handlers.
• Develop and manage datastores and services.
• Proactively propose and implement improvements to the codebase.
• Mentor other engineers to support their growth.
• Design and code solutions for high-transaction systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to evolve the product.
