Pluxee Spain is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Payments Squad and own backend services for high-volume, globally distributed transactions. You will design resilient systems, evolve architectures, and lead testing and observability efforts while mentoring peers.

The role emphasizes a payments mindset, strong concurrency handling, and a proactive use of AI tools to streamline development and delivery. Fluency in Spanish and English is expected.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade applications in a backend role.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts such as eventual consistency, idempotency, and race conditions.
• Experience with payments-related systems, gateways, ledgers, or reconciliation processes is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design resilient backend services handling high-volume traffic with strong data consistency.
• Evolve existing architectures toward scalable, event-driven patterns for global needs.
• Lead testing practices (unit, integration, acceptance) and perform load/performance testing.
• Ensure observability and proactive monitoring of services in production.
• Mentor peers, conduct code reviews, and document engineering standards.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development and automate repetitive tasks.
