Job summary

Qualifyze is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Tech department. You will guide backend architecture, own complex tasks, and work with an international team to deliver scalable solutions. The role emphasizes clean architectures, testing strategies, and collaboration with DevOps, product managers, and design teams.

You’ll operate in a hybrid setting across engineering and data, with English as the daily language and a compensation package that reflects experience and contribution.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Java/Springboot.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Proficient in clean architectures, good practices and testing.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven systems.
• Nice to have: security/compliance by default in regulated environments.
• Daily communication in English in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Guide backend architecture, testing, and technical decisions across teams.
• Own and deliver complex tasks within large projects, or lead small projects independently.
• Communicate effectively with team members, the DevOps team, product managers, and the design team.
• Mentor peers and balance business priorities with technical needs.
• Follow, contribute to, and ensure adherence to our team’s working agreements.
• Work autonomously, taking ownership of stories, programming, and coordinating tasks.
