Rover is looking for an experienced backend software engineer to join our Trust & Safety Engineering team in Barcelona. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems, collaborate with product, design, data science, and frontend engineers, and apply AI-augmented workflows to shipping code.

We value strong coding practices, ownership, and a passion for safe, reliable software. This role is full-time, hybrid in Poblenou, Barcelona.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a professional software engineer, with backend focus.
• Strong backend experience in Python and Django; other backends welcomed.
• Relational databases, observability, testing, and AI-assisted development are valued.
