Lever, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and operate backend services powering an AI-enabled platform in the electric mobility space.

You will build RESTful APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and Python, and own distributed systems and architecture. You will collaborate with AI engineers, product, frontend, QA, DevOps, and external partners to ship reliable services, enforce coding standards, and mentor teammates in an inclusive remote-first environment.

Formación

• 7+ years of professional experience designing, building, and operating production‑grade web services.
• Strong foundation in CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and related concepts.
• Extensive experience with distributed systems and scalable architecture patterns (microservices, event‑driven, CQRS).
• Advanced proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript, and server‑side frameworks such as Express or NestJS.
• Experience designing and maintaining production‑grade RESTful APIs; API versioning, authentication, rate limiting, pagination, and reliability.
• NoSQL experience (MongoDB) is a plus; strong SQL with PostgreSQL/MySQL
• English proficiency; growth mindset, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, maintain, and operate scalable web services and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, Python, and other technologies.
• Take ownership of AI‑based backend solutions and operationalize Python tools within production services.
• Make high‑level architecture and technical decisions balancing scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Build and maintain production‑grade RESTful APIs with authentication, versioning, rate limiting, pagination, and reliability.
• Develop robust distributed systems using microservices, event‑driven architecture, and CQRS.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues ensuring system stability and service quality.
• Enforce coding standards for clean, stable, maintainable code; document and communicate effectively.
