Zusammenfassung

Salve.Lab is seeking a Senior AWS Platform Engineer to design and evolve production cloud platforms for scale. You’ll own AWS architecture, Kubernetes/EKS, IaC, and platform tooling, enabling engineering teams to deploy apps without deep infrastructure expertise.

Work is fully remote with international collaboration. You’ll build reusable components, automate provisioning, improve reliability, observability and cost efficiency, and mentor teammates in best practices.

Qualifikationen

• Strong professional experience in cloud, platform, DevOps or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on production experience with AWS.
• Experience designing or operating Kubernetes/EKS.
• Strong experience with Terraform.
• Hands-on GitOps (ArgoCD or FluxCD).
• Strong CI/CD experience.
• Observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch or OpenTelemetry.
• Strong Linux and networking knowledge.
• Proficiency in English (C1+).

• Contribute to incident response, root‑cause analysis, disaster recovery and production readiness.
• Identify opportunities for cloud cost optimisation and more efficient resource utilisation.
• Work directly with software engineers, architects and stakeholders on infrastructure and platform decisions.
• Contribute to architecture decisions rather than simply implementing predefined infrastructure tickets.
• Use Python, Bash or another scripting language to automate workflows.
• Help establish engineering standards and best practices across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes and IaC.

About The Role

We are looking for a Senior AWS Platform Engineer to design, build and evolve production cloud platforms used by engineering teams at scale. This is not a traditional infrastructure administration or pipeline-maintenance role. You’ll work hands‑on across AWS architecture, Kubernetes/EKS, Infrastructure as Code and platform engineering, taking ownership of cloud environments from design through production operation.

You’ll build reusable infrastructure and developer platforms, automate cloud provisioning and delivery, improve reliability and observability, and help engineering teams deploy applications without having to become infrastructure experts themselves.

We’re particularly interested in engineers who have built things from scratch: AWS environments, EKS platforms, landing zones, Terraform modules, GitOps workflows, internal platforms or major cloud migrations.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in cloud, platform, DevOps or infrastructure engineering.
• Deep hands‑on production experience with AWS.
• Strong experience designing and operating Kubernetes, ideally Amazon EKS.
• Strong commercial experience with Terraform.
• Experience designing or significantly evolving production cloud infrastructure rather than only maintaining existing environments.
• Strong understanding of AWS networking, IAM, security and highly available architectures.
• Experience with Docker and containerised workloads.
• Hands‑on experience with GitOps, ideally ArgoCD or FluxCD.
• Strong CI/CD experience.
• Experience with production observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience troubleshooting production infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Good Linux and networking knowledge.
• Automation or scripting experience with Python, Bash or Go.
• Understanding of cloud security and least‑privilege principles.
• Ability to work independently and take technical ownership of complex infrastructure.
• Professional working proficiency in English (C1+).
