Job summary

SMA Solar Technology AG is seeking an Application Engineer & Project Manager (Large Scale) in Spain. You will provide advanced technical support, design optimization for plants, and act as a reference technical advisor to the SMA Sales team.

The role includes developing and delivering training programs and coordinating project execution from design to commissioning. Requirements include a degree in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years in pre-sales engineering, fluency in Spanish and English, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of three years in pre-sales engineering or similar.
Strong knowledge of Spanish electricity market, PV and storage systems (desirable).
Experience with PV design software PVsyst, PV*Sol, Sunny Design or similar.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support and engineering advice to customers and partners.
Collaborate with the Sales team on large-scale solar and storage projects.
Lead technical discussions on plant design, MV integration, and grid compliance.
Coordinate with Product Management and regulatory bodies for certification.
Deliver technical training programs for customers and employees.
Coordinate project execution from design to commissioning (FAT, supply, install).
Track milestones, risks, and deadlines and maintain clear communication.
