Schneider Electric is seeking an API Analyst at its Barcelona Digital Hub to support full API lifecycles, onboarding and issue resolution for customer-facing APIs. You will bridge technical teams like APIGEE, Engineering and Architecture with API Champions and business users.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and ongoing improvement of API design, testing flows and governance, aligning with roadmaps and performance goals.

Formación

• Experience analysing functional requirements and testing APIs end-to-end.
• Familiarity with API security, OAuth and API gateways (APIGEE).
• Knowledge of tools like Signavio, Archimate or Drawio.

Job Overview

The API Analyst supports the full lifecycle of customer-facing APIs, ensuring reliable operations, smooth onboarding of API users, and rapid resolution of technical issues. The role acts as a bridge between technical teams (APIGEE, Engineering, Architecture) and business/API Champions, providing both functional and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• API Troubleshooting & Support: handle technical issues, credential testing (creation and testing of POSTMAN collection), API testing & validation, regression and environment validations (Pre‑Prod, Non‑Prod), identify and elevate inconsistencies between environments, validate performance and reliability.
• Customer & API Champion Support: serve as primary operational point of contact for API Champions and customer technical teams on onboarding, testing, interpreting errors, understanding API behavior, and resolving environment or platform issues.
• Documentation & Knowledge Management: maintain support guides, troubleshooting playbooks, and test cases; document lessons learned, known issues, and best practices; contribute to functional analysis and small enhancements.
• Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: track recurring issues and propose improvements to API design, implementation, testing flows, or governance; support performance analysis and collaborate with Architecture and Product teams on enhancements, deprecations, and roadmap alignment.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills: functional requirements analysis (FC06), system & API testing (FC08), applications development lifecycle (FC02), IT security & risk management (FC04), master data & data quality (FC12).
• Proficiency with REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, and API gateways (APIGEE preferred); familiarity with Signavio, Archimate, Drawio or similar tools.
• Soft Skills: issue resolution (C005), customer focus (L05), cross‑cultural communication (C004), collaboration & networking (L06), sustainable results (L04).
