We're hiring a Senior Android Developer to join the Quick Commerce Global Services team in Barcelona, to support the Delivery Hero Group's ecosystem with Android and Kotlin. In this role, you'll have the unique opportunity to combine Glovo's vibrant, fast-paced culture with the reach and complexity of the Delivery Hero Group, one of the world's largest local delivery platforms. You'll be part of a Central Team based in Barcelona, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions that support the entire global ecosystem of the Group. Work on a platform that helps local businesses around the world with their daily tasks in a seamless and efficient way.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high code quality, testing, and engineering best practices, and overall product performance.
• Write comprehensive unit tests and instrumental tests to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment process.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Android development, and share knowledge within the team.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in developing Android applications.
• Native mobile app development experience using Kotlin.
• Strong foundation in Computer Science (data structures, algorithms, software design).
• Strong understanding of Room for local data storage and caching.
• Expertise in writing unit tests.
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Full professional English proficiency.
