Job summary

TravelPerk is seeking a talented Analytics Engineer to bridge data engineering and analytics, turning raw data into trusted datasets and Looker dashboards. You’ll work with Snowflake, dbt, and modern cloud tools to model, test, and deliver scalable data products for business users.

Based in Barcelona or London, the role requires a hybrid setup with in-person collaboration three days a week. English is the working language, and relocation support may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Multiple years of experience in a data-focused role (Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst, BI Developer).
• Expert-level proficiency in writing and optimising complex SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) or similar data transformation frameworks is essential.
• Experience with cloud-based data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT principles, and dimensional modelling techniques.
• Proficiency with Git for collaborative development and version control.
• Familiarity with reporting/BI tools like Looker.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Transformation best practices in ELT Pipelines using dbt and Snowflake.
• Data Modelling: implement best-practice data modelling for reporting and analytics.
• Data Quality and Testing: build data quality checks and monitoring scripts.
• Collaboration: work closely with Data Analysts and business users to tailor data models.
• Performance Optimisation: tune SQL queries and data models for speed.
• Tool Adoption: champion modern data stack tools and CI/CD practices.
• Build scalable, compelling data visualisations in Looker for large teams.
