NielsenIQ is seeking an experienced ML/AI researcher to join our Madrid team. You will assess state-of-the-art techniques, research novel ideas, and apply them to large-scale problems spanning recommender systems and NLP. The role requires building relationships, presenting findings clearly, and driving research from concept to adoption.

Formación

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field.
• 7+ years of ML/AI research experience.
• Expertise training transformer-based models for IR, recommendations, NLP.
• Experience with custom SLMs or small reasoning models.
• Strong Python ecosystem experience (PyTorch, Hugging Face, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Git).
• Familiarity with vector databases and retrieval systems.
• Ability to translate research into business impact and communicate clearly.

Responsabilidades

• Research, evaluate, and adapt state-of-the-art AI techniques for large-scale problems.
• Lead development and application of ML innovations to business challenges.
• Drive innovation in IR, product matching, recommendations, NLP, and Generative AI.
• Assess emerging research and identify adoption opportunities.
• Design experiments and guide technical strategy.
• Develop scalable ML solutions and research frameworks.
• Collaborate with Applied AI and Engineering teams to enable adoption.
• Mentor scientists and contribute to the team’s growth.
• Contribute to publications, patents, and conference submissions.
• Communicate findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
