Job summary

Radley James collaborates with a major international financial organisation to recruit a Senior AI Platform Engineer who will build an enterprise platform supporting AI agents, tools and integrations. This hands-on role blends AWS engineering, Python development and technical leadership.

You will translate architecture into production services, guide implementation decisions and help establish a secure, reliable foundation for enterprise AI adoption, while mentoring developers and collaborating

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering with strong AWS and Python.
• Experience designing APIs, enterprise integrations and reliable production services.
• IaC experience using Terraform, AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
• Strong CI/CD, automated testing and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of IAM, OAuth2, OIDC and cloud security.
• Experience with Bedrock, AgentCore, MCP and AI orchestration.
• Ability to lead technical implementation while remaining actively involved in development.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of an AI Skills Registry, including service APIs, metadata management, publishing and approval workflows.
• Build integrations with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and/or Amazon Q and enterprise systems.
• Develop Python services and REST APIs using AWS technologies, including Lambda and EventBridge.
• Build infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Establish automated testing, monitoring and operational tooling.
• Review designs, identify implementation risks and mentor developers with the Solution Architect.

This is a hands‑on consulting opportunity combining AWS engineering, Python development and technical leadership. You’ll translate architecture into production‑ready services, guide implementation decisions and help establish a secure, reliable foundation for enterprise AI adoption.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading the implementation of an AI Skills Registry, including service APIs, metadata management, publishing and approval workflows.
• Building integrations with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and/or Amazon Q and enterprise systems.
• Developing Python services and REST APIs using AWS technologies, including Lambda and EventBridge.
• Building infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Establishing automated testing, monitoring and operational tooling.
• Reviewing designs, identifying implementation risks and mentoring developers while working closely with the Solution Architect.

What you’ll bring

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with strong hands‑on AWS and Python skills.
• Experience designing APIs, enterprise integrations and reliable production services.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code experience using Terraform, AWS CDK or CloudFormation.

Working arrangements

Remote working is available for consultants based within the EU, EEA or UK.

Contract until the end of 2026, offering up to €70 per hour, depending on relevant experience.
