Job summary

Visium SA is seeking an experienced freelancer to advise our internal platform team on designing, building and improving an AI platform on Azure Databricks. This internal role has no client-facing duties and focuses on architecture and engineering standards.

You will mentor engineers, review implementations, and help the team operate a scalable, secure platform with CI/CD/CT pipelines, Terraform, and MLOps best practices. Strong hands-on skills and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data/ML/platform engineering or MLOps (8+ years).
• Proven Azure Databricks production experience (3+ years).
• Strong Python and PySpark programming and testing practices.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Define target architecture on Azure Databricks incl. Unity Catalog and security.
• Design CI/CD/CT pipelines; automate tests and model registry workflows.
• Review architecture decisions, code, and Terraform configurations.
• Develop reusable MLOps standards, templates and best practices.
• Support reliability, governance, security and operational excellence.
• Contribute hands-on to unblock the team and provide mentorship.
• Coaching team members and facilitating design and code reviews.
