Job summary

Primers is seeking a highly skilled Senior AI & NLP Developer to join our fully remote team. You will design, develop, and deploy advanced NLP models, leveraging Python ecosystems and state-of-the-art ML frameworks.

You’ll work on language understanding, generation, and production deployment, collaborating with a distributed team to deliver impactful AI-powered features. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in AI/NLP, a Master’s or PhD, and strong remote collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of AI development experience with NLP specialization.
• Proficiency with Python and NLP libraries (NLTK, spaCy, transformers) and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Proven experience building and deploying NLP models for real-world use.
• Strong understanding of linguistics, machine learning, and deep learning concepts.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs) is desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong remote collaboration and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement NLP models and algorithms.
• Build and optimize deep learning architectures for text analysis and chatbots.
• Process and structure large text datasets for training.
• Integrate NLP models into production environments for scalability.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers on NLP features.
• Stay updated on NLP/AI research and experiments.
• Evaluate model performance and iterate on solutions.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
