Job summary

Kyndryl is hiring a Platform Engineer to build the internal agent harness, including runtime, orchestration, tool integration, and guardrails that enable scalable, governed AI agents.

You will design reusable patterns, develop oversight models, and integrate with CI/CD, infrastructure, and observability tools. Strong Python skills and cloud-native experience are essential, with bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps or SRE, building developer platforms or runtime systems.
• Hands-on experience building agent harnesses or agentic systems: runtime, tool integration, orchestration, evaluation and guardrails.
• Strong software engineering with Python, capable of building production systems and abstractions.
• Solid cloud-native background: Kubernetes, containers, Infrastructure as Code, and one major cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Understanding of how LLM agents fail and the engineering to make them reliable: context design, loops, verification and evaluation.
• Experience treating a platform as a product: contracts, SLOs, adoption metrics.
• Professional working English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the agent harness: runtime, orchestration, tool and MCP integration, context and memory, evaluation, guardrails and observability.
• Build reusable patterns so teams ship agents that are reliable and governed.
• Define the oversight model: policy-as-code, human-in-the-loop checks, loop and failure detection.
• Integrate agents with CI/CD, infrastructure, cloud services, observability and ticketing via APIs and MCP.
• Define productive metrics and instrument harnesses across use cases.
• Keep the harness model-agnostic and versioned to survive model upgrades.
• Mentor teams and reduce friction between Dev, Ops, Security and users.
