Molins seeks a Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations for its entities in Spain and Portugal. Based in Sant Vicenç dels Horts (Barcelona), you will report to the Accounting Lead and contribute to accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, implement accounting standards, and support automation and system upgrades within the Global Business Services team.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration.
• Minimum 5/6 years in general ledger accounting and financial roles.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS.
• Valuable Big 4 audit experience.
• Proficient in SAP FI with advanced Excel skills.
• English required; Spanish and Portuguese also strong.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee, execute, and support monthly and annual accounting close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements for regulatory compliance.
• Keep up-to-date with accounting and tax legislation changes.
• Collaborate with internal departments to deliver timely financial insights.
• Lead and participate in internal and external audits.
• Prepare and review Statutory Financial Statements for entities.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Contribute to core accounting activities and finance projects within GBS.

Job Description

Cemolins Servicios Compartidos, S.L. (now Global Business Services) was established in 2014 with the mission of carrying out the back-office functions for the Group's companies, centralizing processes, gathering knowledge, and creating synergies between different areas and businesses. Through specialization, knowledge, and experience, we standardize, improve, consolidate, and optimize human, technological, and physical resources to provide the best service with maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

We are currently seeking a highly qualified Senior Accountant to oversee and execute accounting operations for our entities in Spain and Portugal. This position is based in Sant Vicenç dels Horts, Barcelona.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records and strict adherence to applicable accounting principles and regulatory requirements. You will report directly to the Accounting Lead and will play a key role within the accounting team, contributing to the effective execution of financial processes and controls.

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee, execute, and support the monthly and annual accounting close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and critically review financial statements to guarantee precision and full compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in accounting and tax legislation, ensuring their correct application.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to deliver relevant and timely financial insights.
• Lead and actively participate in both internal and external audit processes, ensuring comprehensive preparation and prompt resolution of any identified issues.
• Prepare and review the Statutory Financial Statements for the relevant legal entities.
• Conduct monthly reviews and reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts to ensure integrity and accuracy.
• As a member of the Global Business Services (GBS) accounting team, contribute to core accounting activities and support finance-related projects, including system integrations or upgrades, implementation of new accounting standards, and initiatives focused on automation and digital transformation.

Requisitos:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration.
• Proven experience of minimum 5/6 years in general ledger accounting and financial roles.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting policies and IFRS.
• Valuable Big 4 audit experience.
• Proficient in SAP FI, with advanced skills in financial analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel.
• English is a must. Excellent command of Spanish and Portuguese.
