A private yacht management company is seeking a Seasonal Deckhand / Stew / Cook in Spain. Responsibilities include preparing Mediterranean-style meals and maintaining interior cleanliness. Formación

Requirements

Strong interior and exterior skills. Confident cooking skills.

  • STCW
  • ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months)
  • Passport (valid for 1 year min.)
  • Previous deck / stew / cook experience
  • Willing to work equally both interior and exterior

Responsibilities
  • Confident cook - able to prepare fresh, healthy meals with a focus on Mediterranean-style cuisine

  • Sailing experience on open waters and comfortable at sea for long journeys
  • All-rounder with a positive, can-do attitude
Other

Someone with a pleasant appearance and manner, someone who can care for the exterior along with taking care of the interior. Setting the table, making beds and drinks. Laundry, housekeeping. Good cooking skills.

This is a private vessel the owners are also sailors. They have 4 children 17 - 2 years. They are a friendly and easy-going family.

During the Atlantic crossing, cooking for 5-6 people. When in the Caribbean: for 4-6, sometimes up to 8.

Salary range

Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience.

Package

Medical coverage, flights to and from the vessel, etc. to be finalized during interview process.
