Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a skilled IT security professional to join the ERP+ Operations team in Catalonia.

The role focuses on SAP Basis security concepts, governance, and maintaining operational stability across the SAP landscape. You will design and implement security measures, analyze firewall rules, manage communications architecture, and contribute to SAP security audits and vulnerability analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s or master s degree in IT or related field.
• 4 years IT Basis Security experience.
• Deep familiarity with ERP Basis security management tools.
• Excellent knowledge in GxP compliance and documentation practices.
• Experience in global stakeholder and project management.
• Proven ability to work creatively in business and technical environments to contribute IT strategies.

Responsibilities

• Consulting, development and implementation of SAP security concepts (e.g. network segmentation, application and database levels, SAP Message Server, ACL).
• Conception, development and implementation of the communication architecture (load balancer, SAP Web Dispatcher, SAP Gateway, HTTPS, Certificate, SNC-Secure network communications).
• Firewall rules log analysis and definition of rules.
• Translate new security requirements into rules and regulations.
• Execute SAP Security Audits and vulnerability analyses in the SAP infrastructure.
• Experience in monitoring Focused Run and predictive analytics.
• Participation in penetration tests.
• Understand social engineering or other hacking methodologies / best practices.
• Knowledge in artificial intelligence is a plus.
• Work in an international environment within the global IT department.

Within IT GFS SAP Platform, as jobholder you will be working in the ERP+ Operations Team. This includes responsibility for SAP Basis security, governance and operational stability.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Consulting, development and implementation of SAP security concepts (e.g. Network segmentation, application and database levels, SAP Message Server, ACL- Access control list).
• Conception, development and implementation of the communication architecture (load balancer, SAP Web Dispatcher, SAP Gateway, HTTPS, Certificate, SNC-Secure network communications).

• Transfer of the new security requirements into the rules and regulations.
• Execution of SAP Security Audits and vulnerability analyses in the SAP infrastructure.
• Experience in monitoring Focused Run and predictive analytics.
• Participation in penetration tests.
• Understanding of social engineering or other hacking methodologies / best practices.
• Knowledge in artificial intelligence is a plus.
• You will work in an international environment within the global IT department.

• Fluent in english with excellent communication and intercultural competencies.
