Job summary

Movement Group seeks a senior SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Architect for a greenfield project on a 12-month freelance contract. The role provides end-to-end architectural oversight across Finance, Procurement, HR and Payroll, data and integrations for a global deployment with hybrid/remote work in Spain.

You will assess cloud deployment models, govern data migration, and ensure a scalable, standardized SAP landscape across regions while maintaining governance and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as SAP S/4HANA Architect or Enterprise Architect.
• Proven ability to drive large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformations.
• Broad understanding of integration, data, infrastructure and SAP applications.

SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Architect – Greenfield Project - 12 Months - Freelance Contract

Project Overview:

A large international organisation is beginning the first deployment of a wider global SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. The business currently operates a complex SAP landscape with multiple regional and country-specific environments.

This programme will establish a new greenfield S/4HANA architecture intended to become the reference model for future international deployments.

The objective is to create a significantly more standardised and scalable SAP landscape across core business areas including Finance, Procurement, HR and Payroll, while simplifying legacy applications, integrations and data structures.

The Role We are looking for a senior SAP S/4HANA Architect to take an end-to-end view of the solution and bring together the different functional, technical, integration, data and infrastructure workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Own and validate the end-to-end SAP architecture
• Bring together Finance, Procurement, HR, Payroll, integration and data workstreams
• Define how the solution should operate across applications, integrations, data, infrastructure and cloud
• Assess private/public cloud, hosting and deployment architecture
• Validate integration designs, interfaces, APIs and data flows
• Support the consolidation and simplification of the existing SAP landscape
• Provide architectural oversight for historical data migration
• Ensure the greenfield solution is scalable and repeatable for future global deployments
• Challenge designs and decisions produced by functional and technical teams
• Identify dependencies and architectural risks across workstreams
• Maintain overall technical governance and design consistency
• Translate complex technical issues into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders

Required Skills

• Extensive experience as an SAP Architect / Enterprise Architect / S/4HANA Architect
• Strong experience on large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformations
• Broad understanding across integration, data, infrastructure and SAP applications
• Strong knowledge of SAP cloud architecture and deployment models
• Experience with SAP landscape consolidation
• Strong understanding of data migration architecture
• Experience governing complex SAP and non-SAP integrations
• Ability to work across functional areas without needing to be the specialist configurator in each
• Strong understanding of fit-to-standard and architectural governance
