A global biotechnology company is seeking a Sales Development Specialist Chromatography. This remote position will support sales teams in Spain and Italy, focusing on the implementation of chromatography solutions for the biopharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in bioprocess chromatography and experience in sales. Formación

  • Minimum 3 years technical experience in biopharmaceutical industry.

Overview

We are looking for a Sales Development Specialist Chromatography for our Sales BPS (BioProcess Solutions) Department.

This position covers Spain and Italy and can be based in either country. It is a remote position that requires a maximum of 50% travel.

In this role you will support sales teams and customers in identifying positioning evaluating and ensuring successful implementation of Sartorius Chromatography solutions and associated services.

This role requires a strong technical foundation in bioprocess chromatography coupled with commercial acumen to drive optimization of customer processes. You will work cross-functionally with regional technical sales teams product management and product excellence to enhance market penetration and customer success.

With a clear focus on seeding activities the goal is to successfully implement new strategic products into the market to achieve Sartorius group sales target for the specified products or product group or market. The Sales Development Specialist will work in a strong collaboration with Account Management to manage the Opportunity lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Identify customer prospects in defined region for chromatography (consumables and systems) through close collaboration and alignment with field sales leveraging tactical plans from product excellence ongoing initiatives from business areas and marketing as applicable.
  • Lead technical discussions with the customer and internal teams to demonstrate the value of Sartorius Chromatography solutions to customers.
  • Translate customer technical needs into Sartorius solutions in ongoing projects and opportunities.
  • Follow up on leads own opportunities follow them up effectively and turn them into orders together with sales.
  • Take accountability and ownership in ensuring Sartorius products are seeded and are adopted at subsequent clinical / commercial stages at customer sites.
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise in resin membrane and monolith based Chromatography in ongoing projects and field marketing activities.
  • Be accountable for customer experience. Process optimization support or perform trial and demos at clients to ensure max performance of products.
  • Increase reputation of Sartorius in field by co-authoring case studies / application notes / success stories.
What will convince us
  • Academic degree in life sciences engineering or in a related field ideally Master or PhD
  • Minimum 3 years technical experience catering to projects / programs in biopharmaceutical industry
  • Strong understanding / know-how of bioprocess chromatography and the latest trends in process intensification
  • Experience in selling capital instrumentation and / or selling consumables / re-agents to clients in different sectors is a plus
  • Self-motivated energetic and results-oriented personality
  • Fluent in English and Spanish or Italian language both written and verbal
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hands-on knowledge and proactive usage of SFDC and other CRM tools
