Job summary

ABB Robotics in Spain (Sant Quirze del Vallès) seeks a software/infrastructure engineer to build and evolve the test infrastructure for autonomous robotic systems. You will enable reliable, continuous testing to improve release confidence and scale validation across environments.

Based in Sant Quirze del Vallès, you will collaborate with robotics and software engineers to make testing scalable, reliable, and developer-friendly as part of the Sevensense by ABB team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong programming skills in Python; Rust or C++ desirable.
• Solid hands-on Linux experience, including troubleshooting, networking and containerized environments.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD infrastructure, including runners, jobs, artifacts, caching, parallel execution and failure recovery.
• Experience with Docker and software deployment/configuration.
• Experience with HIL, embedded or edge devices (Jetson), robotics or ROS2 is a strong plus, but robotics experience not required.
• You are at ease communicating in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable test execution infrastructure across virtual, HIL and physical environments.
• Develop software for test orchestration, resource scheduling, environment setup, deployment and result collection.
• Integrate test environments with CI/CD and improve runner reliability, parallelization and speed.
• Create tools and APIs to support debugging, observability, failure analysis and infrastructure health.
• Ensure test execution is reproducible and differentiate infra failures from product regressions.
