Indra Space in Spain is seeking a Robotics / Mechatronics Engineer for our hybrid workplace to help design space-grade mechanisms and real-time control systems. You will contribute to actuation, embedded electronics, and software across Linux, Xilinx, and VXWorks while collaborating on multidisciplinary space projects.

A minimum of four years in robotics or mechatronics is expected, with strong programming in C, C++, Python, and Matlab and high proficiency in English for documentation.

We are looking for a skilled Robotics / Mechatronics Engineer with solid experience in mechanism design and real-time control systems. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of space-grade systems involving actuation, embedded electronics, and control.

• Design of mechanisms with actuation and/or deployable systems.


• Development of active control systems based on microcontroller-driven electronics.


• Development of real-time control systems.


• Preparation of technical documentation in English, including technical notes, test reports, proposals, and user manuals.


• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in engineering and space projects.


• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in robotics, mechatronics, or related fields.


• Strong programming skills in C, C++, Python, and Matlab.


• Experience working with tools and environments such as Linux, Xilinx, and VXWorks.


• Proven experience in control systems and embedded electronics.


• High level of English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

• Proven experience in at least one satellite mission.


• Experience performing thermo-mechanical analysis.
