ING Spain seeks a Retail Finance Business Partner to support the Retail business in achieving commercial and financial targets. You’ll lead end-to-end financial analysis, including income, expenses, balances, and profitability, presenting to Product Leadership and other stakeholders.

You will collaborate with senior leaders, build robust financial models, and translate complex data into clear presentations for international audiences, enabling strategic pricing and performance reporting.

Formación

• 4+ years experience, preferably in banking or consulting.
• Excellent speaking and writing skills in English are a must.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced financial modelling with Excel automation.
• High level of autonomy and initiative.

Responsabilidades

• Act as a linking pin between Finance and other areas, ensuring the bank's strategy and financial ambition are known and embraced as one team.
• Understand, monitor and forecast business performance including income, expenses, risk costs and balance sheet developments.
• Actively forecast and collaborate with business leaders on future developments.
• Set mid-term budgets with targets and KPIs to achieve long-term ambition.
• Develop and refine financial models using in-depth business knowledge (actuals & forecast).
• Provide ad hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives and pricing.
• Share insights and challenge end-to-end performance of the business.
• Collaborate on new business development proposals.
• Translate analyses into concise, powerful presentations and strategy documents.
• Monitor business performance and participate in local committees (e.g., ALCO, Pricing).

Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a Retail Finance Business Partner to help us in our ambition to support the Retail business in ING Spain to achieve the commercial and financial targets, while ensuring that we build towards the overall strategy.

In your journey towards achieving this challenging target, you will have an end-2-end perspective of the business (Income, Pricing, Expenses, Balances, profitability and performance ratios). You are comparing our long-term vision against our current performance and external market trends to initiate new initiatives to bring our strategy into execution. And you are preparing regular financial updates to Product Leadership and other key stakeholders to monitor and report on our performance.

This will grant you with a dynamic environment, frequent exposure to senior leaders, growth potential and the possibility to have real impact. You will receive close support and attention from your manager in the delivery of your duties and your professional development.

You are a collaborative professional who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals. You combine strong analytical and numerical skills with a natural ability to communicate to and convince senior leadership. You are able to simplify complexity by extracting the key messages from different information sources and translate this into powerful presentations and reports.

Your key responsibilities:

What you'll be doing as a Finance Business Partner :

• Acting as a linking pin between Finance domain and the rest of areas, ensuring the bank´s strategy and financial ambition are known, shared and embraced as one team.
• Business performance understanding, monitoring and forecasting: Full control and analysis of the actual figures, understanding the external and inner income, expenses, risk costs and balance sheet developments.
• Active forecasting, anticipating business developments, in close cooperation with business leaders.
• Mid-term budget setting with clear targets and KPI towards achieving our long-term ambition.
• Ongoing development and technical refinement of financial models thanks to the in-depth knowledge of the business (actuals & forecast).
• Being the finance partner to business stakeholders: Ad hoc analyses & research to support key strategic initiatives & pricing.
• Share insights and challenge the existing business E2E performance.
• Collaborate in new business development proposals.
• Being able to translate analyses and business performance into concise and powerful presentations: Strategy papers and presentations.
• Business Performance monitoring.
• Local committees (ALCO, Pricing etc.)

What are we looking for?

A strong set of technical and analytical abilities:

• Master or bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience (preferably in banking and/or consulting)
• Excellent speaking and writing skills in English is a must.
• Strong analytical skills. Proven experience in advanced financial modelling and excel automatization.
• High level of autonomy and initiative.
• Problem solving mindset.
• Well-developed cooperation and communication skills.
• Ability to work on an international level.
