Job description

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It

At The Social Hub Barcelona, retail is about more than just products and sales — it’s about creating memorable experiences, connecting with our community, and adding something extra to our guests’ stays.

As our Retail Intern, you’ll be right at the heart of the action, helping bring our retail offering to life while supporting the day-to-day operations of our Hub. From welcoming guests and assisting with sales to managing inventory, keeping our retail spaces looking their best, and exploring exciting new local partnerships, no two days will be the same.

  • ES-Barcelona

You’ll get hands‑on experience in retail, hospitality, and business operations, working closely with our team to make sure everything runs smoothly and every guest interaction counts. You’ll also have the opportunity to bring fresh ideas, discover local brands and businesses to collaborate with, and help us create added value for our community.

If you’re proactive, people-oriented, commercially curious, and excited to learn by doing, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

In Case You Don’t Know Who We Are

Known for being the rule breakers in hospitality, TSH is a fun, creative, and inspiring environment where everyone can work, stay, learn, and play — and most importantly, be themselves.

We’re not just a hotel. Our hybrid hospitality concept brings together hotel rooms, student accommodation, coworking spaces, gyms, events, restaurants, bars, and vibrant community spaces under one roof. We create places where people connect, ideas grow, and experiences go beyond the expected.

With locations across Europe, we’re building a new kind of hospitality experience where everyone belongs. And at The Social Hub Barcelona, you’ll be part of the team making that experience happen every day.

What You’ll Do
  • Support daily retail operations: Help ensure our retail area runs smoothly, stays organised, and offers a welcoming experience for guests and visitors.
  • Welcome and assist guests: Be a friendly face at our Hub, answer questions, share information about our products, and help guests discover what we have to offer.
  • Drive retail sales: Actively engage with guests, recommend products, support promotional activities, and identify opportunities to increase sales.
  • Manage inventory: Help monitor stock levels, carry out stock counts, organise deliveries, update inventory records, and flag when products need replenishing.
  • Keep our retail space looking great: Support product displays, visual merchandising, and the overall presentation of our retail area in line with the TSH brand.
  • Explore new partnerships: Research local brands, makers, and businesses that could bring something unique to our retail offering and add value to our guests’ experience.
  • Support collaborations and activations: Help coordinate new partnerships, product launches, promotions, and other initiatives that bring our retail concept to life.
  • Monitor performance: Keep track of sales and stock data, help prepare reports, and share insights on what’s selling well and where we could improve.
  • Work as part of the Hub team: Collaborate with colleagues across Operations, Guest Experience, and other departments to create a seamless experience for our guests and community.
Who You Are
  • You’re currently enrolled in a university or higher education programme, ideally in Business, Retail Management, Marketing, Hospitality, Fashion, or a related field.
  • You enjoy interacting with people and feel comfortable welcoming guests, answering questions, and helping create a positive experience.
  • You’re interested in retail, sales, hospitality, and the commercial side of running a business.
  • You’re organised, reliable, and detail-oriented, and you understand the importance of keeping track of stock and maintaining a well‑presented space.
  • You’re proactive and hands‑on: you don’t wait to be asked when you see something that needs doing.
  • You’re curious about brands, products, and local businesses, and enjoy discovering new ideas and potential partnerships.
  • You’re comfortable with everyday digital tools such as spreadsheets and presentations, and eager to learn new systems.
  • You communicate well, enjoy working with different people, and are a supportive team player.
  • You bring a positive attitude, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a willingness to learn.

Previous experience in retail, customer service, or hospitality is a plus, but your attitude, curiosity, and motivation to learn matter just as much.

What We Offer
  • The opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in retail and hospitality at an international, innovative company.
  • A varied role where you can develop practical skills in sales, operations, inventory management, guest experience, and partnership development.
  • The chance to work alongside an energetic team and learn how a dynamic hospitality business operates day to day.
  • The opportunity to contribute your own ideas, take initiative, and see the impact of your work.
  • The chance to be part of a Certified B Corp company that balances profit with positive impact, collaborating with organisations like Movement on the Ground and the TSH Talent Foundation to create meaningful change.
  • Awesome discounts across our European properties, not just for you, but also for your friends and family!
  • A vibrant workplace filled with events, great colleagues, and opportunities to connect with the TSH community.

At The Social Hub, we believe pay should be fair and consistent. That’s why we carefully determine your starting salary based on the role, your assessed proficiency, and our salary framework. We make our best and fairest offer upfront, so we don’t negotiate salaries. Because fairness shouldn’t depend on who negotiates best.
