CIDETEC Energy Storage in Donostia-San Sebastián is seeking a researcher to develop and implement multi-physics models for battery technologies. You will work in the Energy Materials Unit, contributing to lithium/sodium ion and solid-state battery modelling, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

You will implement new mechanisms in an existing battery simulation code using Python, and support funding documentation while driving innovation in energy storage technologies.

Formación

  • High level of written and spoken English.
  • Experience implementing and optimizing numerical methods for PDEs.
  • Modelling and simulation of multi-physics and multi-scale problems.
  • Advantage: Lithium-ion and electrochemical battery modelling.
  • Knowledge of Git/SVN and software development tools.
  • Knowledge of mathematical, statistical, and ML optimisation.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and implement multi-physics models for battery technologies.
  • Extend and optimise existing battery simulation code.
  • Produce documentation to support funding efforts.
  • Deliver on forecasts in annual plans and maintain progress.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to accelerate technology transfer.
