ICN2, a flagship research center in nanoscience and nanotechnology located in Barcelona, Spain, seeks a Research Support Technician. The role supports the Nanostructured Functional Materials group with synthesis, characterization, and project leadership within an international team.
The position requires a Bachelor and Master in relevant fields, strong English, and proven experience in chemical synthesis and nanotechnology characterization.

Our research lines focus on the newly-discovered physical and chemical properties that arise from the behaviour of matter at the nanoscale. ICN2 has been awarded with the Severo Ochoa Center of Excellence distinction for three consecutive periods (2014-2018 and 2018-2022 and 2023-2026). ICN2 comprises 20 Research Groups, 7 Technical Development and Support Units and Facilities, and 2 Research Platforms, covering different areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology.

Description of Group/Project: Valorization of a novel therapeutic platform engineered to improve enzyme stability, targeting efficiency, and bioavailability, including tissues that are currently inaccessible with conventional ERT, and to avoid the immune response.
Main Tasks and responsibilities: The candidate will be involved in activities related to the synthesis and characterization and final validation of hybrid nanogels. The candidate will work as part of an international team and she/he is expected to actively participate and lead part of this project. The tasks to be performed will include:
