Fundación Pública Gallega de Investigación Biomédica INIBIC seeks a Research Support personnel for the IDERHA project in Oncology. You will work under supervision on AI/ML for healthcare data, with emphasis on data governance, ETL, and federated learning within WP2/WP3, plus dissemination tasks in WP7/WP8.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering (or equivalent) and experience with data analytics and clinical image processing.

Fundación Pública Galega de Investigación Biomédica INIBIC announces a selection process for the recruitment of Research Support Personnel for the development of a project in the Oncology Research group and the following characteristics:

Project: IDERHA: "Integration of heterogeneous Data and Evidence towards Regulatory and HTA Acceptance¨

Job duties: Under the functional supervision of the Research Group Leader and/or the responsible person for the project, and the hierarchical supervision of the Foundation Management, with whom they must collaborate and cooperate, they will be responsible for the following duties:

Performing IT support tasks within the following work packagesWP2 (Development of AI/ML tools and their applicability to data) and WP3 (Demonstration of the value, general applicability and scalability of platforms and tools for lung cancer patients and healthcare professionals). health), and participation in the tasks of work packages WP7 (Exploitation, dissemination and communication) and WP8 (project management and sustainability). Assistance and support in project meetings.

Specific Requirements

Candidate’s merits will be assessed against the following selection criteria. The maximum score for the merits will be 90 points.

• Technical knowledge related to the position and/or specific additional training: maximum 20 points
  • Knowledge of data management—including data governance, ETL, and standard healthcare archetypes such as OMOP and FHIR—as well as advanced knowledge of data analytics, particularly clinical image processing and federated learning frameworks, will be highly valued. Basic knowledge of DevOps,
    database management, and infrastructure for deploying services, applications, and containers in virtual environments: VMware, Docker, etc. will be highly valued too.
• Proven professional experience in research and/or related roles, in the public or private sector: maximum 30 points
  • Experience in comprehensive healthcare settings and/or in healthcare-related research groups in the fields of ICT development, data management, and/or the deployment and implementation of services and infrastructure willl be highly valued . Demonstrated experience in clinical image processing and federated learning frameworks will also be highly valued.
• Experience in scientific management and dissemination: maximum 5 points
• Proficiency in computer and statistical tools: maximum 20 points
• Proven knowledge of the English language: maximum 15 points
  • Level B1: 5 points
  • Level B2: 10 points
  • Level C1/C2: 15 points
    Accreditation: Only language proficiency certificates issued by officially recognized language assessment bodies (Cambridge, Trinity, British Council (IELTS, APTIS ESOL), ETS (TOEFL), EOI), will be accepted, as well as those certificates approved by ACLES. Internal courses or certificates not endorsed by accrediting entities will not be considered valid.

For the candidates moving to the second phase, they will perform a personal interview that will assess their professional experience, knowledge and soft skills, for a total value of 10 points over the whole assessment.

Additional Information

Professional group: Research Support Staff – level 4 (as per the Foundation Collective Labour Agreement).

Working conditions will be as stablished in the Foundation Collective Labour Agreement.

The duration of the contract will be subject to the availability of funds.

Eligibility criteria

To be considered eligible to take part in this selection procedure, on the closing date for the submission of applications candidates must satisfy all the minimum eligibility criteria as specified below, and must meet these requirements at the time of formalisation of the employment contract and throughout its validity:

• Be a Spanish national, be a national of one of the Member States of the European Union or be a national of a State in which, by virtue of the international treaties signed by the European Union and ratified by Spain, the free movement of workers is applicable. The spouses of Spaniards and nationals of other Member States of the European Union may also participate, regardless of their nationality, provided that they are not legally separated. Their descendants and those of their spouse may participate under the same conditions, provided that they are not legally separated, are under twenty-one years of age or dependent adults. Likewise, foreigners with legal residence in Spain may participate.
• Legal capacity: be sixteen years of age or older.
• Functional capacity: possess the capacity to perform the tasks. For these purposes, this means not suffering from any illness or being affected by any physical or mental limitation incompatible with the performance of the corresponding duties.
• Qualification: not being disqualified from performing public duties, nor having been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings from any of the public administrations or entities belonging to the public sector. Applicants who do not have Spanish nationality must prove that they are not subject to any disciplinary sanction or prison sentence that prevents, in their State, access to public employment.
• Required qualification: Being in possession, or in a position to obtain on the date of the end of the application period, the academic qualification of Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree with less than 300 ECTS in computer engineering.

Applicants with qualifications obtained abroad must prove that they are in possession of the corresponding validation or credential that accredits, where applicable, the homologation of the degree. This requirement will not apply to applicants who have obtained recognition of their professional qualification, in the field of regulated professions, under the provisions of European Union Law.

These requirements must be met both at the time of the end of the application submission period and at the time of taking possession or formalizing the contract.

The hired candidate will be subject to the general regime of incompatibilities established in Law 53/1984, of December 26, and complementary provisions.
