INAB (Instituto de Neurociencia Avanzada de Barcelona) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher with experience in cognitive neuroscience to join our Barcelona laboratories.

The successful candidate will design experimental protocols, process and analyze data using advanced statistics and AI, publish in high‑impact journals, present at conferences, and supervise postgraduate students.

Start date April–May 2026 in Barcelona; competitive salary and access to state‑of‑the‑art facilities.

Formación

• PhD in Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, or related field.
• Experience in perception, consciousness, thinking, and emotions.
• Strong publication record in scientific journals.
• Skills in experimental design and data processing.

• Experience supervising postgraduate students.

Postdoctoral Researcher with experience in cognitive neuroscience

Position Summary

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher with a PhD in Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, or a related field to join our team at INAB (Instituto de Neurociencia Avanzada de Barcelona) in our Barcelona laboratories. INAB conducts research in cognitive neuroscience such as perception, consciousness, thinking, and emotions, so candidates with experience in these domains will be particularly valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop experimental protocols for research projects.
• Process data from experimental recordings.
• Analyze data using advanced statistical and artificial intelligence techniques.
• Write and publish scientific articles in high-impact specialized journals.
• Present research findings at international conferences.
• Supervise and mentor postgraduate students.

Requirements

• PhD in Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, or a related field.
• Research experience in the fields of perception, consciousness, thinking, and emotions.
• Strong track record of writing and publishing scientific articles.
• Skills in experimental design and execution, as well as data processing.
• Advanced knowledge in statistics and data analysis.
• Experience supervising postgraduate students.
• Strong knowledge of experimental protocol design in research projects.
• Experience in one or more of the following techniques: Electroencephalography (EEG), Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS), Biosensors (ECG, GSR).
