Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center in Barcelona to oversee offshore wind asset operation, both during commissioning and service phases. You will analyze performance data, diagnose issues remotely, and collaborate across engineering teams to ensure safe, efficient turbine operation.

The role requires experience with wind turbines, SCADA tools, and strong communication skills, with willingness to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona/EU work eligibility.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Provide remote diagnostics and troubleshooting during commissioning and service.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends/public holidays.
