Job summary

Amaris Consulting is seeking a Software Packaging Engineer to own end-to-end packaging and delivery for IT projects. You’ll work with an international team, coordinating with IT and business stakeholders to define optimal solutions and prioritize tasks by business impact.

The role requires 5+ years in software packaging, strong scripting skills, and hands-on experience with Orca, MSI/MSIX/Intunewin, SCCM and Intune. You’ll drive automation and contribute to service-management practices.

Qualifications

English C1 or higher, written and spoken.
+5 years of experience creating advanced software packages in enterprise environments.
+5 years of experience managing end-to-end software packaging requests, coordinating multiple requests simultaneously.
Strong expertise in scripting: PowerShell, Ansible, PSADT.
Solid hands-on experience with packaging tools (Orca) and formats such as MSI, MSIX, Intunewin.
Experience with software distribution platforms: Microsoft SCCM and Intune.
Experience integrating packaging processes into broader IT service workflows.
Knowledge of networks, databases (SQL, MongoDB), software development, and API management.
Experience with Agile, ITIL, or similar service management.
Strong communication with technical and business stakeholders.
Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end lifecycle of software packaging requests: intake, analysis, registration, package creation, testing, delivery, deployment, and post-implementation support.
Coordinate with IT and business teams to understand needs and prioritize tasks by business impact.
Design, build, and maintain complex software packages (MSI, MSIX, Intunewin) ensuring compatibility and compliance.
Use and optimize packaging tools (Orca) to guarantee quality and repeatability.
Manage deployment of software to corporate devices via SCCM and Intune for seamless rollout.
Automate packaging workflows using PowerShell and Ansible to improve efficiency.
Document processes, incidents, and solutions; propose continuous improvements.
Monitor SLAs and KPIs; report on requests and incidents.
Provide Level 3 support for packaging/distribution incidents and drive root-cause fixes.
Participate in cross-functional projects related to Application Delivery and IT services.
