Job summary
Mirantis, a leader in Kubernetes-native AI infrastructure, seeks a senior DevOps storage engineer to own the storage stack for GPU-accelerated AI workloads. You will design, deploy, and tune high-performance NFS-based storage integrated with Kubernetes via CSI, while ensuring robust automation and observability across hybrid and air-gapped deployments.
The role requires deep Linux storage knowledge, experience with bare-metal provisioning, and hands-on work with CSI, K0rdent stack, and storage
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in SRE or infrastructure operations.
- 5+ years of building/operating distributed production storage systems at scale.
- Hands-on with high-performance storage solutions (VAST, Weka, DDN, PowerScale).
- Linux and Kubernetes storage fundamentals (NFS, CSI).
Responsibilities
- Storage Integration & Operation: Integrate NFS-based high-performance storage into Kubernetes via CSI, storage classes and persistent volumes.
- Linux Platform & System Integration: Optimize Linux systems for storage workloads and cluster integrations.
- Automation & Observability: Automate provisioning with Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps; build monitoring and alerts.
