Intellias is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join a distributed team delivering scalable Spring Boot microservices and data pipelines in a cloud-based environment. This remote-from-Spain role requires strong backend design, hands-on AWS, and experience with event-driven architectures to support global customers.

You will design, develop, and operate backend systems, collaborate with data engineering and analytics stakeholders, and ensure reliable, scalable solutions while maintaining robust

Formación

• 6+ years of backend Java/Spring development in production.
• 2+ years AWS core services experience.
• Experience parsing large/various file types.
• Event-driven distributed systems using Kafka/Kinesis.
• Microservices, MVC, and event-driven architectures.
• JPA / Hibernate expertise.
• Advanced SQL with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• JUnit and Cucumber test automation.
• GitHub Actions/CI-CD experience.
• Strong ownership in an Agile environment and English communication.
• 6 hours overlap with US Central Time on business days.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain Spring Boot-based microservices in a distributed architecture.
• Build and operate event-driven data processing pipelines for streaming data.
• Work with complex datasets for analysis, transformation, validation, and optimization.
• Develop advanced SQL queries and data workflows to support business requirements.
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to Snowflake-based analytics initiatives where applicable.
• Develop and maintain robust APIs for internal and external consumers.
• Work with AWS to design reliable, scalable backend systems.
• Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL and DynamoDB schemas.
• Implement and maintain automated testing strategies (unit and integration).
• Contribute to and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines.
• Ensure system reliability via monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Collaborate effectively in a distributed team, communicating progress and risks.
• Take ownership of features end-to-end from design to deployment.
