Job summary

Grafana is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for our products in a fully remote engineering team. You will collaborate on architecture decisions and contribute across the development lifecycle, with occasional travel for team meetups.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in backend development, strong skills in Python, Java, Node.js or Go, and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Node.js, or Go.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Solid understanding of API design principles (RESTful).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, especially in a remote setting.
