Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to support offshore wind assets from a Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will monitor performance, diagnose issues, and guide field teams through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to maintain reliable turbine operation.

The role requires a technical engineering degree, wind-energy experience, strong data analysis, and the ability to travel up to 20% with EU eligibility. English fluency is essential; Spanish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent wind energy experience.
Hands-on wind turbine/MECH systems experience in operation.
Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
Strong analytical, structured communication, calm under pressure, collaborative mindset.
Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.
Fluent English (spoken and written); Spanish is nice to have.

Responsibilities

Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
